CHICAGO – Senator Willie Preston has released a statement extending his congratulations to former Senator Jacqueline Y. Collins on her appointment from Governor Pritzker to the Illinois Human Rights Commission, pending confirmation from the Illinois State Senate.

The Human Rights Commission’s primary role is to make impartial determinations of whether there has been unlawful discrimination as defined by the Illinois Human Rights Act. Pending confirmation of the Illinois State Senate, Jacqueline Collins will join the other Commissioners on this esteemed panel.
